Default Lowering the front?

My goal is to get my feet a little closer to the ground. I have lowered the back of my Ultra with Street Glide shocks. I have had my seat shaped. Will lowering the front help? What's the downside? Any advice on how best to do it?

Thanks!

it will help downside the ride will suffer and you can bottom out on your fender and trip trees

I have lowered mine you DO give up a little ride comfort but I have never bottomrd out in the front yet. Went with the progressive spring kit as they seemed to be a bit better then the HD.

I lowerd my Street Glide 2 inches in the front with a set of progressive springs. The bike Rides great. I do allot of 2up riding and have never bottomed out. My driveway is about 3/4 mile soft sand/ dirt with ripples and it seems to be fine on there as well.
