After your injuries are tended to, have a dealership estimate the bike.&nbsp\\; Go over their estimate carefully, made any additions with their input.&nbsp\\; Then pay their labor off and get the bike home.&nbsp\\; Once the ins. co. has evaluated the estimate, request a 1-party check from them and contact a trusted independent mechanic.&nbsp\\; Determine what work you can do yourself and arrange for the repairs.&nbsp\\; This way YOU decide WHICH and WHAT and WHOSE parts go back on your bike, and any additional funds from those decisions will be spent the way YOU want to.&nbsp\\; This is how I got a chrome front end and a new motor build instead of a bike with no scratches.&nbsp\\; But take care of your injuries first, and seek the advice of an attorney you are referred to by friends or family, not a name out of the phone book!&nbsp\\; Take care.

Definitely get a lawyer. Too many oh ***** if you don't. Son recently totaled his Sportster. Lady came across 5 lanes to hit him. Had to fight insurance just to pay the bike off. After 11 months of bike payments, he got the keys left. People suck. They let the insurance company do their dirty work. Insurance wants to do everything as quick &amp\\; cheap as possible.
&nbsp\\;
Also had wreck last September. Hidden damage just now showing up in the wiring. Already out $300 labor &amp\\; 60 parts plus 2 towing. Don't sign off until you are satisfied.
