Default Tar on the exhaust

Does anyone have a good idea how to get tar off the exhaust without scratching the chrome?&nbsp\\; Rode on a freshly tarred road and now it is cooked on the exhaust.&nbsp\\;

Yup, WD40 and some 000 steel wool. Go slow and easy on a cold pipe, and you'll be fine.

Best overall, cheapest, fastest, etc cleaner and degreaser&nbsp\\;of all times is plain old kerosene. Dip ultra fine steel wool in it. It will dissolve the tar immediately, and leave pipes very shiny.&nbsp\\; Wash with soapy water when done, and make sure to wear rubber gloves as it is a solvent easily absorbed through human skin.
