Mine is the same ('01 RKC) some of the time. \\; Just a \\;bit stiff when shifting down. \\; It seemed better when I had "regular" HD dyno fluid in it, which I had \\;changed to (...following the HD recommendations) when I bought the bike. \\; I've noticed that the drained fluid has the smell of auto differential fluid, so maybe that was what was in it before...and, should be again? \\; I'm trying HD's SYN3 now, so we'll see how that works. \\; Mc

Adjust the clutch. \\; You probably don't have enough freeplay in the clutch push rod. \\; Adjust cold by turning the adjuster in until all play is lightly taken up, then back off 1/2 to 1 turn, and tighten lock nut. \\; Then adjust cable.

some run amsoil 20-50 advance formula motorcycle oil in all three holes,I run it engine and primary and the amsoil 75-90 severe gear in the trans.great combination.Mine is an o7 and i dont hear any trans whine that these things are famous for with the severe gear in it.
