Default Advice appreciated

Bought a nice&nbsp\\;'90 Flt w/127 ci engine in Jan, have had issues almost every time I have taken it out, not w/engine, always starts.&nbsp\\;
This bike was put together by a professional shop. Found seal between carb/air cleaner mount missing, 1/8 gap sucking in whatever and coughing threw carb. Starter went out about a month ago, keep in mind I bought this bike from owner who only had put appx 1,500 miles on it, things vibrating loose, no bigee. Up until 2 weeks ago I had never been more than 25 miles from home because something always happened and I had little confidence in bike. Had primary off to shim out compensator cause sprockets were off more than Harley recommends, found that back 1/8" of splines on extension shaft were gone&nbsp\\;, no splines on rotor, it was not spinning w/shaft and stator facing on windings were gouged and (1) rotor magnet was stuck on perimeter of stator, I can now see why starter went out, lucky it did not take out whole electrical system&nbsp\\;, all because somebody did not get compensator nut on tight or screwed up somehow. Got new parts and put them in. Went on 100 mile run to find that 2 quarts of oil had transferred from engine to primary.
Took it to shop that originally did work, told them I wanted it fixed, had it 5 days, had done nothing, was leaving for Sturgis in 3 more days, they said we will have it done tomorrow. Picked it up on Wed., took 100 mile pre Sturgis run, found oil had transferred from engine to primary, another 50 miles and I probably would have seized engine. Called him and he said that it my have gotten snagged and not in square.
&nbsp\\;
My question is this, in your opinion, considering their knowledge of what had gone on w/ext. shaft/rotor/stator and the metal grindings involved, should they have replace race, bearings, whatever ?&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; He told me race looked good, I think they just rushed. Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Sorry for the short novel posting ? lol

you have a money pit.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Decide on how deep the pit is Vs. how much money
you have.
&nbsp\\; I bet you can do better.
