any body have an idea why i need to know the ambient tempature (gauge on the dash) on my streetglide..........
season your words well,one day you may have to eat them&nbsp\\; =)

It's primary function is to let you know when it's hot enough to start drinking beer.&nbsp\\; That's why I took it out, I was drinking too much beer.

you don't need one, the MOCO just wanted to fill a gage spot for you to fill with a compass...

It's there because Harley doesn't want to be responsible for your warranty when your engine seizes in the heat. The gauge locks in the temp at that time for evidence.

Actually, its a space holder for an oil temp guage that you have to buy seperately.
