Rode with 2 friends today, both on 07 Ultra's. 1 starter went bad @ 22k, and the other @ 16k. I have 11k on mine, with no issues so far. All 3 bikes are Stage 1 only. Anyone else experiencing starter problems?

 

No Probs, even with a 103 w/o comp releases at 17k. Ask your buddies if they ever had low battery issues. Always keep your battery up, nothing harder on a battery than starting with low charge. The starter is the highest drawing accessory and will kill the life of a battery.
I got 7 years and 35k on my 99 evo, before I changed the battery, thats when I noticed it started cranking a bit slower.

 

Starter went out on my 07 FLHTC at 2000 miles. Was in Daytona for bike week. Got a push start and rode back to ST. Petersburg to Jims Harley Davidson and they diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 24 hours. Thats the kind of service you expect but don't always get.
