Extended Warranty on 09. Worth it?

Extended Warranty on 09. Worth it?
Considering a new Ultra. Is the added protection worth the cost? Will they try to sell it to me again as the original warranty comes close to an end?

Buddy had a tranny go south on him on his '06 RK recently. Extended warranty picked up everything but the deductible. Don't recall the exact numbers, but it saved him more'n the cost of the warranty.

In general most studies show that that extended warenties don't pay, however if you are finaincing the bike sometime dealers will give you a 1/4 % on the rate which will cover the cost of the Warenties i would ask.

Ah'll put it this way - ah don't buy extended warranties on mah cars/trucks. Ah do my own wrenching on the bike, but still buy the warranty. Bike parts are expensive, and some repairs can be time consuming. I prefer to choose when/why ah git greasy...

I sold a 3 year old Ultra with 30,000 miles for 18,500.00 with extended warranty. The buyer said he bought the bike over others because of the extended warranty. I think it's worth it. 7 years is 1800. you can get a 6 year for around 1500. If you trade every two years, it's not worth it. Bldr

Now I get it on the posting complaints. Bunches of fun getting a post to work. I'm paying cash. If I don't buy the warranty will they take another run at selling it when the factory one comes to a close?
