Speaking with absolutely no knowledge, but until someone else chimes in...
Maybe you need to be connected to the bike as that might be where the file is that its looking for. I will be interested in hearing from those who know.

You have to have the SERT application installed on your computer to read your map file. It sounds like you bought your bike used. You should of got 2 CDs, one that has a copy of your map file and the original program disk. If you just have a CD with your map on it you could borrow a program disk or dealers used to sell the program disk for about $20. It might be hard to find because it is a discontinued item.

Opening the Map file will not tell you what "stage was downloaded" It will let you see & print a graph of the results of your tune. It will illustrate the horsepower, torque & fuel air ratio at various RPMs. Stage I, II & III refer to mechanical modifications to the motor, air cleaner and exhaust. It might be easer if you take your CD containing your Map to the dealer and see if they will print a copy for you. It a nice thing to have. I have mine framed and hanging on my wall.

OK so that is the program disk & not your map. You might be able to download the map off of your ECM. Maybe someone else knows.
