Default e3s are good

I have the e3 on the back of my street glide and its the best tire all around Ive ever owned! I ride a lot and will never run anything but e3s. I run 40 in the rear and 38 in the front. I still have the stock dunlap on the front but can feel no handling problems.

it is an mu90b16 this tire is slightly higher and wider than stock but there isn't any fitment issues with it,fits fine and works good.

I'm back on mu old EVO cause I like the ways the Metz's handle!
I'd like to see a pic of the E3 coming apart....
Metz has that problem and ppl have posted pics of them, was thinking of E3's, but not if they are coming apart like the metz's do!

I thought about going to E3's then remembered that if I need one on the road there is a very good chance I'll have to settle for a stock tire since that is what the majority of the dealers have in stock. So I decided the stock tires have worked good on all my bikes so why change now.

I ended up in the same place. I've been riding way toooo many years, and have never had an issue with the hd dunlops, either in wear or quality. just can't see a reason to change

I've had an E3 rear installed for about 5300 miles and it is performing up to expectations, if not better. I checked wear about two weeks ago and it showed 8/32" tread depth, while 11/32" is new. At this rate I should be able to get >16k out of the tire, which is much better than the 10k I was getting from D402's.

Handling is excellent and I have no complaints on either wet or dry pavement. These tires do not follow longitudinal imperfections like tar strips and metal bridge surfaces like the D402's, although I still feel them in front since I have the original D402F installed. There are no handling problems mixing these two tires.

I'm presently running 40psi rear, 38 psi front (stock D402), and may go to 42 rear when loaded with Tour Pak attached. The MU90-16 size is almost identical to the stock MU85-16 D402 (E3 is .01" taller and .06" wider). I see that Dunlop now has a new size for the E3, the MV85-16, which is .01" shorter and .51" wider than the stock tire. It has 20# less load capacity than the E3 MU90-16 and both are better than the stock D402. With more tread on the ground the MV85 may wear better, but that's just a guess.

I have been running the E3s now on my Road King for about 5K miles. I run 38/front and 40/rear normally. When I pull my camper I add 2lbs to the rear. (seems to handle better) I have had no problems with them and the wear has been fantastic. I have had no issues with the tar snakes, infact to me they ride much better over them then the Stockers.
