When you go to the dealer to buy the tire, just keep looking through them until you find one made in Germany.....although the ones made in Brazil are just as good IMHO. When I replaced the Dunlop tires on my Deuce at 3500 miles with the Metzlers, I didnt even know that some of their products were made in Brazil. Then after some time I read a post on this forum about some problem with a small run of Metzler ME880's that were made there (turned out the problem was mostly due to under inflation). Thats when I was looking at the sidewall to see where mine were made, and both did say Germany, but the set I had on my 04' Fatboy were made in Brazil.....they are still on the bike, still holding up just fine.....and that bike now is owned by my cousin Guessippi who beats the **** out of anything he can ride or drive!
I am surprised that 88" is still holding up.....the last time we were scheduled to go on a poker run, I wouldn't let him ride the bike until I changed the oil and filter, and put a set of rear pads on

Where have you seen that? On FOX News? I bet you never been in France. I have been in US several times for vacations and business and I do measure the American with a "Bush yard stick". Should I?

I've seen good and bad people all over the world and never judged a population after having seen or read some dudes.

True enough, didn't mean to lump all French citizens in with the French Government. S'il vous plaît,Je demande pardon
That is whom our money ends up supporting if we buy products made in France. So until the French people vote out all the USA haters from your government, I will continue to pass up on Made in France products.

PS... I did go to France to see 1 thing, Colleyville sur Mer and the American Cemetery. The locals we met were very nice and the food excellent. My wife travels once or twice a year to London for work. I tagged along and we took the Eurostar over for a day. When she has to back to Zurich, I'm going then too.

PSS... The only time I watch Fox news is if I need a good laugh. Kinda like reading USA Today newspaper. And excuse mon Francais, been a looong time since I've used it and now I speak mearly "Hockey"

No problem. I've been in Colleville too and other D-day places.

We have a new president since more than a year now. Things change.

I was in Chicago last year, in August.

Have anice day

Got almost 10k on my set of michelin commanders.
Put Dyna Beads in 'em when I got 'em.
Best thing I've done for the ride.
WHAT A SMOOOOOOOTH RIDE!

Be careful, there may be another war-related casualty today. The French could get injured when they try to jump on our bandwagon.

I put a Commander on the rear at 10,600 miles and now have ~2,000 miles on it and I have to say I really don't like the way it handles. The bike is wanting to go all over the place in a cross wind or behind a semi or on grooved pavement. I had this condition with the stock Dunlop but it is a lot worse with the Michelin Commander.
I just ordered the Bagger Brace and hope it helps, if not, I am gonna be looking for a different rear tire.
The tire itself seems to be good as far as wear goes, it doesn't really show hardly any wear yet, but it just doesn't seem to want to stay on the road above 55 mph, especially on grooved surface.
Maybe I just got a bad tire or a bad installer??
