I'm replacing mine with 412s. I've heard positive on both.

I recently replaced my stock 12" shocks with 12" 440's on my Street Glide. The improvement in ride quality was significant both for solo and two-up riding. In your case, a 13" 440 would be even more significant, giving a much better ride than my 12" 440. Here is a brief review I did of the 440's on this forum:

https://www.hdforums.com/m_286290/mp.../tm.htm#286514

If you were to install 13" 440's on your Glide you would have one of the best quality rides going.

PS 412s on mine too, after the stock air shocks puked their oil out. Great improvement in ride.

Just a quick note about Wally's Cycle World... I was looking at part numbers for some 440 shocks and wanted to confirm with them before placing the order. I called them and the sales person would not give me a part number. He said that if I could not figure it out on-line then he could take my order at a higher price. I told him that the part numbers were not real clear and that I would not want to have to return the parts due to ordering the wrong items. He again told me that he would take my order but the shocks would not be at the internet price. I said can't you just confirm that I have the right part number? Then he got an attitude. So... I will never spend a dime at Wally's Cycle World. Hope any of you who use them have better luck.

lawdogso, I had a simular problem with them. I called to place an order and was told the same thing, it would cost more than the internet price. I hung up the phone and called Jireh's. Got my 440's for I think $403 including shipping, and had them in just a few days. Like you, I will NEVER deal with Wallys again. P.S. hogsolo16...you will love the 440's

I got the 412's and like them. I went with 1" shorter than stock.
