Had the Saddleman Seat on my 02 Ultra and it was great, sold bike kept seat and put it on my 07 Roadglide. Sold bike kept seat only it doesn't fit my 08 Roadglide.
The seat is good for 600 mile days end on end running tank to tank.

I have just completed 300 miles ( 2- 150 mile rides) on a new Explorer seat. I find the seat very comfortable and my experience shows that I have moved closer to handlebars by about 1/2 to 1 inch and I seem to be sitting higher on the seat. I think I am looking over the windshield an inch more than before the seat went on the bike. It's a keeper in my opinion.
Have the Explorer seat on my RK.
You can have the seat "custom" fitted to your needs at no extra cost. Mine is about 1/2 inch thinner. I even sent mine back within the 1st year for a re-fitting, at no cost. Their customer service isn't as good as it once was but its acceptable. When a fellow named Cookie was there, he would take care of you. The next guy was an a-hole.
As for comfort, its Ok but not great. Love the looks though.
If you get one, get it with the riders backrest as it makes a world of difference.
Saddleman also makes a "Road Sofa" saddle. Does any one have info on this one?
I ordered a Road Sofa and was told to expect a 6 week wait. Since my wife and I were taking a trip right away, I bought a sundowner deep bucket seat off the shelf at the same time I ordered the road sofa.
When the road sofa finally got here, it was HUGE. I thought my wife would love it. We went on a 600 mile trip and she said that she was not any more comfortable than with the sundowner and she sat at least 3 or 4 inches higher in the wind on the road sofa.
Service was great with saddleman though. They took the seat back and gave me most of my money back. They kept a $75 re-stocking fee and I was out shipping both ways, but still better than trying to sell that seat myself.
i ordered a saddlemen explorer , it should be here this week . i will try to give my opinion after this weekend IF i can get a new tire installed before it blows out lol.
