First question--- If you pay the $20.00, two bikes registered to you are covered.
Second question---- I have been a Full Life Member for about ten years now and have never paid another cent in membership fees.

I beleive the OP was stating that an additional $20 would bring additionally benefits. Whether your a Full or Life member, both have to pay the additional $20. Extract from the HOG Benefits book follow .... otherwise, it would appear each only get one free tow per year.

DELUXE PACKAGE (OPTIONAL – ONLY $19.95 per year)
The DELUXE PACKAGE adds the following benefits for up to two of your Harley-Davidson® motorcycles:
• Towing to the nearest authorized Harley-Davidson dealership without limitation on number of services per year. (Please note that authorized Harley-Davidson dealerships are not open 24/7.)
• “Sign and Ride” benefit (all covered towing/roadside assistance costs are covered in full). If you are a full or full life H.O.G. member and would like to upgrade to this increased benefit level, please contact Road America to enroll. Certain restrictions and/or exclusions apply.

... seems like a good deal to me. I signed up for the Ultra package today, for $30 bucks how can you go wrong.

I'll be riding to Sturgis this year, so I am thinking $29.95 for the additional coverage and piece of mind is a no brainer...

I've used my towing benefit two times in the past and my problem with the program is this... why if you have a towing package through the HOG program do they have tow companies that really don't know how to tow
motorcycles? Both times i got a tow truck operator that didn't know anything about how to load or strap down my bike. I did all the work myself. Has anyone else had the same problem.

Don't use HOG for towing, go with AAA or your insurance company for your bike. They were going to lay my bike on it's side when I broke down just a couple weeks ago.

I have both AAA and AMA, AMA limits its tow for 35 miles. My local AAA of southern New England noes not offer the RV package so no motorcycle towing offered. I also picked up Allstate roadside assistance. I have not needed to use any of these so I have no experience on who is best. I have use AAA for my car and they were great.

Here in Mi. AAA requires you to be a plus membership which costs $81.00 a year and gives you benefits you'll never need or use but have to be a plus member? They'll tow 10 mi. OL likes the gold AAA sticker they give you
