07 RG noise--bad
noise from primary side after running for 5 minutes--can make it happen in gear only and with clutch just being released but not moving the bike--increases w/speed of motor--otherwise no noise while riding--verified compensator bolt torque--tensioner good and clutch adj is o.k.--with ear on primary cover it is worse by clutch assy--also warranty is up today--notified dealer but service is not open today

You haven't described the type of noise but there is very little inside the primary to go bad. Could be an inner Primary bearing or clutch basket bearing.

it is a loud knocking noise--noiser than a chain hitting something--no signs of anything hitting--oil and magnet are clean--if you release clutch and start moving it is quiet--only in that small area of clutch movement--it's as if some clearance is being taken up--definitaly at rear of primary cover--bike has 10,000 miles

I get a clanking noise from my primary on my 07 road glide when taking off sometimes ,but everything seems nice and smooth once moving,it started at about 10000 miles,it doesn't do it all the time and is usually more prevalent when warmed up,I still have 1 year left on my warranty so I am going to keep an eye (ear) on it and see if it gets any worse,but would be intrested in hearing what the dealer has to say about yours .
