Sorry to hear that your down...Just had my recall shell replaced yesterday at motorcity harley in farmington hills MI. had an appointment. they said it would take an hour...it was done in an hour!

Thats weird because I dont think I have heard (on this forum) of any 08' ECU's taking a crap like that. I would have bet dollars to donuts that it was the fuel filter canister. Did the service manager give you any idea of what went wrong with the ECU, or what may have caused to to go bad?
While your bike is in the service dept, you should ask them to run your VIN to see if your included in the recall for the fuel filter canister replacement....unless you have had it done already.

To confirm this, enter your VIN number and mileage into the following Service Check-up page. This will let you know for sure.
