Default bike died
08 Rg died last night on he way home. Everything going well and then it started to pop out of cruise and then the engine light came on and then died. I remember reading something on the forum about this. Can anyone remember what caused this? I am havng it towed to the dealer this morning.

Any help would be appreciated.

No help available.
Your dealer will change out the fuel canister and all will be well.

Fuel filter housing inside the gas tank. There's a recall on it.

Number 1 on my list would be the fuel filter recall problem.

OK so just got word from the dealer after 3 days in the shop that it is the ECM. Naturally they are on back order so I won't be able to make the trip I have been planning with my oldest daughter for this week. HOw does Harley compensate you for this type of thinig? I know what the car dealers do but am unsure about the bike dealers.

Man I am pissed!

Ask The dealer for a rental bike until yours is done!

Get used to it, its a Harley! Mine has been down for 3 weeks waiting for a new induction module. I already tried for free rental bike, ect...They wont kick down to help a brotha out so I miss out a whole month of riding season.

They should be able to search other dealers for the part. If they won't, ask them what the part number is and call around to other dealers yourself.

Mine is scheduled for Saturday to have the recall fix done. I am about 2500 miles problem free to date. I don't want to risk it so hopefully I will have mine back the same day.
