Smile Bought a bagger

I've been riding an 06 sportster for the last 2 years. Hang around with a bunch who all ride bigger bikes. Finally decided to take the plunge and, bought a nice used, 98 Road Glide. Had it now for 3 weeks. I couldn't be happier. The comfort and convience are unbelievible. I'm back to the parking lots practicing the turns and stuff to get a little more comfortable on its handeling. I used to muscle the sportster to make it do what I wanted it to do. Not so with this bad boy. Have learned real quick to choose my parking spots carefully. I will have to do some excersizes to build up my legs as well. And if its going down,..... its going down. I won't be strong arming it to keep it up(should that happen). I will be wrenching the bike myself and am going to need a shop manuel. I definatly want to keep it in top shape. Just thought I would chime in to say hi to everyone and let you all know that the guy with the grin from ear to ear is me. I really, really like the new ride.

Congrats & Welcome to the DarkSide... Sure you'll miss the lower torque a bit. But the over-all ride is worth it!!!

Congrats. I have a Sportster in the garage I can get the 'old school' feel whenever I need it, but you can't beat the comfort of a dresser.

hahahahah Yes you can't man handle one of these touring bikes.
If it wants to go down, it's going down.

I've dumped mine twice inside of my garage.
The first time I did every thing I could to save her and almost broke mt leg.

The second time was "Oh sh$t, just let it go man, let it go". LOL

You are gonna love the bike.
