I have a 1994 FLHTC Glide with a stock radio. Should I rewire the bikes radio system to upgrade the radio or is there a kit to upgrade to use hogtune speakers (1994)?
So you recommend I redo the entire stereo system, I beleive this only deals with the speaker and head unit wirings, correct? I also think this is not very hard to do since It only deals with about ten wires. I sure could use the help, thanks!!
Biketronics offers Sony headunits/interface/etc. to install aftermarket headunits to retain handlebar controls of the stereo using existing wiring. Many happy HDFers (myself included) using their products.
Do yourself a huge favor and do not rip apart you wiring harness ! Just go right to Biketronics and order thier Retro Radio Kit - the top of the line Sony with IPOD compatability is awesome. I just put this kit on my buddies 90' Ultra. It uses your stock handlebar controls and comes with excellent 80 watt speakers for the fairing and the tour pac.
It is a completly plug and play install that is well engineeered and warrantied. Definitly worth the cash and outperforms the stock systems available on the newer Glides.
