08 - 09 Tour Pak
I noticed the 09 P&A book has a different part number for tour paks on the 09 bikes. My plan was to keep the pak off my 08 RG and put it on my 09 SG, but now I am starting to wonder if I can. I know the docking points are different and I will need a new rack, but will the 08 pak bolt on to the 09 rack? Thanks.

Given the wider fender (which necessarily widens the mounting points; which necessarily widens the bolt locations for attaching the box to a rack), I doubt that it will be a simple swap. I'd check the bottom of the tour pak at a dealership on an '09 and see if the bottom is shaped to fit the wider bolt hole pattern. If it is, then you would have to decide is you wanted to drill your current box to create new holes for mounting.

That was kind of what I figured just looking at an 09 Ultra, but just wanted to see if anybody had personally done this. I would sell my 08 Candy Red Sunglow pak and just buy one to match my new SG if anybody is interested.
