The only downside, if you want to call it that, with the zumo is it will only recognize 1000 mp3 files regardless of how big of an sd card you use. Other than that my zumo 450 works great.

My Nuvi 360 has worked great in a ram mount. I purchased it ealier this year. My thoughts are just keep it out of the rain.

I got the Nuvi 750 with a ram aqua box and the handlebar mount. You can still access the touch screen and the nuvi stays dry and a bone even in the heaviest downpours. About half the price of the ZUMo and has exactly the same electronics (verified by a Garmin tech) so it will be as rugged.

I have to go w/the Zumo 550. I switch it from bike to car, it has my bluetooth ( I don't answer on bike but know when a call comes in and who is calling. I have all my mp3's on the sd card along with routes. Use the aux on the radio and get all music and voice commands from the gps through the intercom. I wouldn't have any other and when you buy it from a legitimate dealer you get everything you need for all operations. (gpscity in vegas $623.00)

Did the Kury mount already have the holes drilled for the wires or did you drill it out yourself? If you did it yourself, where did you get the grommets and what size are they? Do you like the mounting location and do you feel this mount is worth the $100, especially considering the Zumo has a Ram mount in the kit?

Hey Click . . .

Let me answer your questions.

I mounted mine on the tank for one reason. It just didn't make sense to mount it on the handlebars since they move. Everything else on a Roady is frame mounted. Also, the bars vibrate and the tank doesn't. I like the location because it is easy to reach with either hand. Yes, I have to look down at it but that is not an issue for me. I like the central location too.

I drilled the Kury fuel door mount and the tank console and installed grommets that I found at Ace. I routed the power wire to the accessory plug under the seat. The aux cable and XM cable run out from under the tank console in the front and then along the frame under the bars.

BTW, I am not taking credit for coming up with this install. I did a lot of research and searching on several forums. I ran across a thread somewhere showing a similar install. I copied it.

I actually just sold mine. The cradle is really ugly, and it got to be a pain taking the zumo on and off the bike all the time to either hide the ugly empty cradle, or put it in the saddle bag so it wouldn't get stolen. For long trips I loved it, but for around town and stuff it was not for me.

+10 for the Zumo 550. Can't say enough good things about it! It's saved my butt repeatedly!
