Valve/Lifter Noise?

I have an 08 UC with 13,000 miles. Sometimes under load I hear what sounds like lifters "clickedy-clickedy". Other times it's very quiet. There isn't any sound like something hitting anything. It's just a little noisier than I remember. Is this normal? If not, is this a relatively easy fix for the dealer and something I should bring up for warranty? (The bike was bought new February 08).

It's normal. Nothing to worry about. And it's more noticeable in warm/hot conditions.

That being said, make sure you are using 92 octane or higher fuel.

I have a similar issue with my UC. When cold I get a clattering noise at 2800 rpm and above. If I short shift I don't hear it. Once the engine is completely warmed up I do not hear it even under hard acceleration. I am taking it to the dealer next Tuesday for them to look at it. It seems to be coming from the primary area. If is wasn't under warranty I would open it up myself. I only run 93 octane fuel. My bike has 13,700 miles on it.
