Default detach bracket question

Ok, I'm looking to purchase an 06' ultra. Today I went to the local dealer and asked the parts guy about a bracket or such to make the tourpak detachable. He quickly looked in his book and responded that there is no possible way to make it detachable, it can't be done. Is this true? I thought guy all over were doing this. Thanks

HD doesn't sell any of the wiring quick connects that you would need for the speakers and antennas, etc. They only sell a detachable light harness kit. I believe others have made their own connections. Try a search here on the forum.

I don't know how he did it, but the parts guy at local dealer did it to his.

ok, so there is no "kit" (single purchase item) to make the tourpak and antennas detachable. Thanks

the main issue you will encounter will be the coax for the cb antenna. maybe look form an eg classic or standard. the ultra's really should be left full up

The reason they say it can't be done on a UC is because there is no CB antenna relocation kit because of the antenna loading coil (in the bottom of the tour pack). Everything else, speakers, lights, passenger controls can be easily disconnected with the factory connectors.

Bottom line... if you want a detachable tour pack on a UC then you will not have a CB antenna when the tour pack is off.

it's not a big deal. I just thought it would be nice to take it off once in a while. Thanks
