Dodging plastic bags on the freeway!!!

This has got to be one of the most annoying things that can happen while riding. Ok, it has happened several times. I am riding and I see this plastic bag sweeping in the air up ahead. Due to the unpredictability of the wind it appears at times everything is fine and then it sweep right at me. Once I caught one! What I don't want to happen is one get caught on my jugs or my pipes and bake on. What do you do?

Unfortunately, all I can do is clench my teeth and hope for the best. I keep 1 bottle of "goo gone" at the house and one at work just in case.

I have had them stick to the pipes before. Miserable job getting them off.

Happened to me on a trip once...you could smell it for many many miles...staying at a Holiday Inn Express won't make a difference either.

Wasn't on my bike, but riding down the HOV in VA the other day when this dump truck ahead of me loses a 3x3 piece of sheetrock, hits my left front bumper, luckily no damage. State police here could have cared less, even had his license number, he was losing stuff all over the place, too. bags, just hope for the best on my bike, if it comes my way, I'll deal with it, otherwise just keep plugging forward, better than any unnecessary swerving.
