I just popped off my fairing to check the mounts (which are all good) and found out that I have a Dakota Digital, it was on the bike when I got it. I never liked the reception I got with it so I decided since the outer fairing is off I would change the location. I also check the plug and found out that it was not connected right, came apart when I unplugged it. I soldered it back together and am anxious to see how it works now. I use my Zune for music but I like to listen to am for the news.
That's the same powered antenna I'm using with my Sony Marine CDX-M50iP head unit. Though not a good as a full-length whip antenna, it's reception is more than adequate and I can clearly tune in all my local favorite stations.
XTrooper I got same marine headunit Sony CDS M50iP. I really like this unit. You have to hit a major bump for it to skip on a CD9(wma) and I've never had it skip at all playing MP3's burned to CD !
