Dragonfly Electra GLide Stereo Upgrade

Has anyone heard anything about the Steroe upgrade from Dragonfly? I am looking for a way to add a stereo to my Electra GLide Standard. I saw Biketronics option and this kit from Dragonfly. Any advice welcome. I even thought about trying to find a HD system someone uninstalled to upgrade. I would just like to add a radio. Thanks

I have the kenwood that they put in their fairings for the Road King. I was impressed with the radio, but when I pulled the fairing apart because the radio vibrated loose I found out their idea of waterproofing was to put duct tape over the top of the radio. Not impressed. I don't know much about the kit but for the $ I would think ebay and Crutchfield would save you $.

The only quality true marine reciever I know of are the Alpine 9886 and the x100, which will not be out till OCT. The HK is not a marine unit. I run Pioneer and alpine in my Fairings and have had no problems. including 70+miles from the panhandle of Oklahoma to dodge city KS.

+1 for Biketronics. Check-out the Retro Radio package; much better value (IMO) than Dragon Fly, Hawg-wired, etc.

Also, Biketronics interface unit is the only one with automatic volume control.

Here is an interface used on cars to get steering wheel controls to work with aftermarket HU's, I imagine it would work with a bike as well.
