Default Harley Easy Clutch

I had the Harley easy clutch, or whatever they call it...installed on my 04 Electra Glide. In one week it went from an easy clutch to the same old clutch. I also noticed the first day I started using the bike with it...that whenever I up shift 2nd 3rd or 4th I feel a bump in my hand that is holding in the clutch lever...like a light tap. What the heck could this be...?

It sounds like they don't have the ramp seated properly. They should stand behind their work. I like the MRC ramp better but the Harley one is cheaper and they claim to have good luck with them. The HD one also uses a weaker spring on the clutch side.

Or, they didn't adjust the clutch cable correctly and now the clutch isn't pulling in all the way when you are trying to shift.

They are supposed to loosen the clutch cable all the way before install, then after the install you have to pull the clutch lever 3-5 times to seat the ramps, then adjust the clutch cable back to normal.

I'd take it back to the dealer. I had one installed and two guys from my work did also with great results.

I will take it back in.... it is annoying... like a light tap into your fingers... They oiled the cable... but when I told the service manage he said it probably needed a new cable???? I have 40,000 miles on the bike...but personally I just don't think they adjusted it right...but what do I know.
