Default Disabling Security System

Is it possible to disable the system (not just disarm) by pulling a fuse or unpluging something?

Then be able to plug back together when needed, like at a rally. Most all of our rides are 1day trips and I never leave the bike, but I would like to be able to hook it back up if needed.

Possible????

I have this bike that my friend left in my garage and I need to disable the security system on it. I don't have the fob or the codes. Can someone help me?

Are we really serious?

If you don't want the security system enabled and it is your bike leave the fob on the bike. Then the only security you'll have is your key locking it.

It is my bike. I live in a rural area that I don't think it is nesasary to have it on. It just seems to me like something that will cause trouble someday.
It was on the bike in the showroom. If I had ordered the bike I would not have ordered it. Don't need it, Don't want it, And I Ain't trying to steal it.
Just asking a question, don't need a lecture.

Thanks

I to am curious as to why you would want to go this route, I have it on my classic and hardly ever use it but its there if I need to use it and as far as it creating a problem somewhere down the road, that could mean almost every componet on the bike..my 2cts

If I could have bought a new SG with no computer and no bells and whistles I would have. Unfortunatly that is not possible anymore.
I am 60 years young and all of these electronics gizmos drive me crazy.
I am very good at mechanical things and can turn wrenches with the best of them, but with the electronics you are forced to go to the dealer.
I have had this bike less than one week and have already had a problem with the electronics. I called the dealer and asked for help and all he said was bring it in.
Now, to the security system. I don't want to be sitting in a parking lot with my owners manual out trying to figure out how to disarm when a problem comes up. It is just one less thing to worry about. I have good insurance if someone rips it off or damage occurs. And I don't belive it would be much of a deturant if someone has decided they want it.
Anyway, I thought this was a simple question that would recive a simple answer. Again I don't want it so I will let the dealer do it and charge me their outrageous prices.

Of course we were going to give you a hard time. So here is an option. Last time i checked the security system is installed by replacing the turn signal modulator. You might be able to just buy a replacement stock modulator and then only use the security system one when you go on longer trips.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think once the system has been programmed should should be able to swamp them back and forth.

I could be very wrong on this.

Correct Coloradosteve, was having a problem with my TSM after pulling a trailer and low and behold two parts number for the TSM one with and one without. You can find lots of takeoffs WITH OUT the security system on Ebay about $25.00, I think the part number is: 68920-01 A,B,C or D.
