I appreciate the helpful comments. I've read many posts and it seems that the moco voids the warranty on the bike very easily. If I have the dealer install the true duals will the warranty on the engine be maintained by the moco? Maybe I'll rethink taking the bike in to have the fuel mileage checked.

Also, the emission code is PO444, does anyone know much about this code or is it just a ghost?

Check with the dealer. I was able retain all warranty rights because they did all the work.

Some that are reporting mileage in the 40's may be running gas with no ethanol. (ethanol hurts mileage http://zfacts.com/p/436.html) Here in Northern Illinois the only gas I can get has up to 10% ethanol. I believe the moco estimates epa mileage using gas with no ethanol.

i had an 07 roadking and stock i got an average of 42 mpg with a stage one reflash and it ran great...
my new 08 rkc has se air cleaner and a stage one reflash... i did the mod on the cross-over pipe, eliminating the obstruction at the Y pipe.... i just got back from a thousand mile trip and kept it at less than 75 mph.... i averaged 46 mpg and one tank i got 50.... thats good in my book..

my ultra is pretty well stock. I'm getting between 38-50 mpg, depending on how I ride. In town, twisting the throttle, high 30's. On road, 2 up, averaging 45.

That said, I have found (or think I have) the sweet spot. The bike seems to like 2500-2800 rpm for the best fuel mileage. As someone mentioned, shifting into 6th gear too soon will ruin your mileage.

So watch your tach, run 5th gear more on the highway, keeping the rpm in the sweet spot. My highway mileage improved.

Now, in town and twisting the throttle, so much for mileage.
