As an AMSOIL dealer I can can tell you that the cost of all their products went up as of July 1. This is due to the increased costs of base materials.
The perfered customer (or dealer) cost currently is $8.25 a quart or $94.20 a case.
Delivered to my door is $113.20 a case, including shipping. I put 10% profit for me (yes I have to make something) so that is $10.37 a quart. I took all picing information off an order I created to find out exact amounts.
Filters have gone up even more!
The typical twin cam chrome filter is $15.35 cost /$19.75 retail!!!!!!!
Current retail is $11.05 a quart plus shipping and tax.
It is a shame that shipping has come into play but until recently I could pick up the product and save my customers thew shipping.
Now with fuel costs I just have it shipped and pass the cost on. If you order online you will still pay the shipping.
Overall I have noticed the costs have gone up dramaticly, almost to the point of switching myself but in the long run I have seen how great of a product is and will contine to use it.
If you can get this GOLD any cheaper than I can sell it for here then snap it up quick! Prices are going to go up..........They just have not caught up yet.

WIX makes oil filters for EVO & Twincams in black, under $8.00 each............who needs a chrome oil filter??????
well i feel just because i own a harley...it should not be automatically assumed that i should have to pay an inflated price for something, like oil! i'll pay it cause i want to to protect it. its not a question if Amsoil is any good or not its the inflation of cost.... its not fair to say "well i can afford a 20K bike, i can pay an inflated price for an oil change or anything else for the matter". an 80% increase is quite ridicoulus. i'd be shopping around a little more.
Not sure anyone is saying "pay more" cause you own a Harley. I just pay more for the best oil, Amsoil MCV 20-50 is the best for the Vtwins (arguable), at least I think it is.
My increase is only about 10%-15%. I can live with that, right now. IF it keeps going up, well, I may have to search for new company to deal with???
I buy mine from a friend who is a Amsoil dealer and i get it at his cost, last month i got his last 5 quarts at $8.00 a qt and he said he was going to order another case before the price went up again so i told him i would take a case well he callled me when he got his bill and informed me his cost was now $10.80 a quart!!!!! being a men of my word i paid the $129.60 but i will be looking for a replacement oil when this is gone!!
when i saw this thread i thought it was something serious, but it's not, it's only about price . imo if it want and like it i buy it. harleys are $20,000 and honda's are $10,000 i'll buy the harley !

The price only went up about $1 on Aug. 1st. The preferred price is now $8.25 a quart or $94.20 a case. I know there's shipping and tax but not $35.40 worth!!! Friend huh??
You can get recycled used oil for around .65 a quart, since you apparently can't afford four quarts of Amsoil.
Guess you apparently didn't read through all the replys on this thread before you put your 2 cents into the mix. Or, maybe it's simply a matter of poor comprehension.

UPSGUY........
The "friend" is either adding 10% for his trouble or sticking it to you.........
The above figures are taken from an order shipped to my house. I beleive adding 10% is fair. I does cost $20 a year to be a perfered customer or $30 a year to be a dealer. But he should be upfront about this.
If you find a napa or other place cheaper than this.....Buy it all!!! Stock Up!!
