I've used RAM mounts for every bike I've had, XM, GPS, Ipod. I love them. You can come up with a way to mount anything everywhere. The mounts are very stable, and I've not had any vibration problems. They have hundreds of parts (maybe thousands). It really is crazy all the ways you can do something like this.

Though some might not like the looks, for all weather use, I've seen people mount the Ipod in the small Pelican brand plastic containers. You can attach a RAM mount to them as well, and mount them like anything else.

who makes those mounts again? thsoe are pretty clean....

Ive had vibration eat up more ipods, I quit using them. I'm pretty sure the nano versions are better, since they dont have a hard drive.

What about as far as charging, do you have to charge via the cigarette lighter? What about the sound?

Thanks!
it works pretty slick. Just need a cable you can buy anywhere, walmart even has em. You can't use your handlebar controls, and they go plenty loud. Loud as CD does.

gilbos' mounts work really nice. I also have his bushings for the quick disconnct stuff and they are A++ as well.
The Nano versions eliminate the vibrations from having any impact. One thing you will HAVE to remember. The Nano versions are kind of small, if you take it off for some reason and stick it in your pocket,,, DONT forget to take it out before you throw your pants in the wash. That's all I'm sayin'
