How comfortable are these seats? Any recomendations?
I've got an 06 Electraglide w/ Mustang seat. Wife unhappy with passenger pillion after about 90 miles. I'm considering the Zeppelin,
Saddlemen Road Sofa, and Ultimate.
Have not found any real improvement over stock saddle (2003 EG Classic). It is wider making it harder to get my feet on the ground when stopped. It raises me up about 3/4" so i now get a blast of air right in my eyes. The wife does not like it. Is for sale!!!
I tried it once and wanted to like it. However, I found with air, as others have said, it was hard.
It looks great. Nothing like a leather seat. But for $700+ it better feel really, really, good. For me it didn't.
I went with a Mustang touring seat that fit my Harley adjustable backrest. For the under $400 price, the Mustang feels better than the stock seat to me.
I still don't understand how anyone claims 300 continuous miles or more on a bike without getting off. I can't do it, on any seat.

Jazisax,
I can attest, first hand, to the comfort of the Road Zepplin Air Adjustable leather seat. I had one on my '07 Ultra (seat is now for sale) and put 3300 extremely comfortable miles on before my accident on 4/25 (no damage to the seat).
The beauty of this seat is that you can adjust the air pressure in any of the 3 zone on a moments notice, so if you are riding and feel the need to change the position, you just reach down on the left side and adjust the air as appropriate. Combine the Road Zepplin seat with the riders backrest and it is pure heaven!
My only wish now, is that HD will get the Road Zepplin for the '09 Touring models (not yet available).
