I have an 08 Ultra and just installed the VH Fuelpack as well as the HD Rear LED wing and accessory rear lights. Only other hook up to the battery is a battery tender. Now I cannot get the battery cover to mount back on the top of the battery and although I got it close, the seat will not go on. I tried trimming the tabs on the battery cover, but no good.
With all the bikes I have seen with accessories, someone has had to have had this situation. Bike is parked and now with the pipes and accessories on, I am dying to ride.
It's tight, but I got several things under there. I'm not happy with the potential issues of abrasion etc, but not sure what else to do. The benefit of the SERT is no box, but all the lights, etc... Let me know what you find out please.
I have a run/turn/brake module and a Smart Equalizer, Fuel Pak, and fuse for my HID headlight. The Fuel Pak is not an issue because it mounts under the left side cover. Both light modules I have hanging down by the frame going under the right side cover and the fuse for the HID I tucked in front of the battery. Sometimes it takes a little creative routing to get everything to fit.
Thanks guys. I think I should have been more specific. My problem is that where the fuelpack plugs into the ECU. If I keep it mounted onto the plate where the ECU mounts, I can't even shoe horn it in. I have the fuelpack "brain" if you will mounted on the left side on the fuse box as per instructions. I was able to move some things, but still can't seem to get that sucker to sit flat enough to mount the seat.
I am thinking of removing some of the zip ties and trimming the ECU plastic holder some. Thinking first, cutting second. I will take any tips.
