Yesterday I pulled the right side throttle and switch assembly off my '02 Ultra to replace a bad set/resume cruise control switch. Boy was that a mistake.
It came apart okay but I've been fighting with gettin it back together for hours now and I can see no end in sight. The problem is the two lower switches inside the mount. When I get them set into the small space they are suppose to go they pop right out when I attempt to install the directional switch and its hold down bracket. It looks so easy in the service book but with my big fingers and those small parts in that tight space it just ain't
gonna happen. I'm thinking of taking my hot glue gun and applying a small amount of hot glue to those lower switches to make them stay put...I can't think of anything else so I thought I would post this and see what anyone else who had to replace this switch did, other then take it to a dealer. Obviously its to late for that in my case....
