Just wondering if any one else has had the set/resume switch break.
Using the cruise this weekend, turned off with the throttle to make a turn, hit the switch to resume the cruise and had a big surprise when I let off the throttle. The switch broke inside the housing.
I assume that they'll cover it under warranty. There's no damage at all to the outside and I've done nothing that I know of to cause it to break inside. My thumb is not that strong.
Any one else have this happen and any problems getting the dealer to fix it?
Only problem I had with the cruise was moisture in the switch, throwing a code PO577 (high imput). Pulled the switch out, sealed it and reinstalled it. Royal PIA. Dealer should warranty your switch though. It shouldn't have broke with thumb pressure.
Yep, I had mine act up last year and the dealer got me a new switch just before I put it away for the winter. But it ended up being moisture, because it is working fine since I got the bike out. I have the new switch in my saddle bags if it acts up again. Yes the dealer took care of the switch, but I told them I would put it in myself if it acted up again, and they gave me the switch.
