Always park it in gear no matter where. That way there is no chance of someone getting on and it rolling.

I always park in gear. It prevents the bike from rolling while I'm putting it down the side stand. That thing seems kinda flimsy anyway. I guess I'm afraid it will roll backwards and the bike will fall off it.

Always in gear, slip it in neutral to start and hold the clutch in for ease of mind!

After many years of having to commute across Pugent Sound on ferries, I have gotten in the habit of always parking it in gear, I have seen to many bikes go down on the ferry because the boat hits a wave or makes a sharp turn.
