Have her get her own bike, since my wife started riding her own I haven't heard a complaint going down the road.

Seriously,
I hear good things about the low profile bars and Kury adjustable passenger pegs.

My wife complained about the same thing...especially on long rides...I went the cheap route and went to Home Depot and bought some of that foam pipe insulation covers and cut a couple lengths and put them on the saddle bag guards where my wife's leg contacts the bar...I keep them in the tour pack and every time she rides with me I put them on and when shes not with me I pull them off, she hasn't complained since.

I ordered the bag guard removal kit from Custom Chrome. It gives you the look of the Street glide, which of course means no bag protection at all, but then again, it won't be the 1st or last thing of mine that my wife has destroyed. Looks cool I guess and was cheap, $30 or $40 I think. She found something else to gripe about after that I'm sure. Yours will too. They all do.

+1. my wife rides her Heritage.....and the best part is I don't have to listen to her telling me how to drive, etc. she may be cussing at me but I sure don't hear her now lmao!

You could order Harley P/N 49088-01 which is the comfort profile saddlebag guard with the holes already there so you can still keep the saddlebag rails. If your dealer does not have a set in stock they can do a dealer search and locate a dealer that has one. You could ask " Dawg " on this forum to do a search, he can find about anything.

You also can't use the saddlebag guard bags with these, if that's a factor.

Even though this post is a yr and a half old, I'll lend my two cents for people who encounter the same problems...........And they will. Get the profile bag guards, as listed above, and then add the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger pegs I added these right after she started complaining about the guards, and not being able to move her feet around, and she hasn't complained since!
