bike wont start update
last weekend i posted wont start any how had the dealer come out and pick up the bike i showed him that all i could get was a click when hitting starter he said that alot of starter problems with 07;s any how we loaded on trailer he got it to dealer and he said it started right up he checked thebike out for a few hours and he came up with nothing his guess is that the battery cables were not tight enoghe he siad that they have to be tight to dam near stripping any how getting the bike back tomarrow just want to say thanks for the imput hopefully the bike is fixed

I had some issues with my 08 not starting and found that the two bolts that hold the starter to the inner primary (which act as a ground) were loose. As befuddled as I was I found that the MOCO did not use lock washers nor star washers on these two bolts. I have since added two star washers and snugged them down and all seems well so far

yep thats what i say 1st thing i checked was my battery im not buying into itdo it over again i would of tried starting it after putting the bike in the trailer it probly shook the loose wire

I had an intermittent problem in the same manner which ended up being a loose crimp in the ground cable at the starter housing. That was several trips to the dealer before it was found. That was November, happened again this weekend but wasn't erratic, just clicking. Found that the cable at the crimp just broke off at the eye. Dealer says he has seen it before but not that often and it happened twice to me? This was on a 06 Ultra.
