Default Tire Size

What size tire's are you running on a Bagger with a 21 front and a 18 rear? I have heard that a Avon Venom 150/70/18 for the rear is wider then a Metzeler in the same size and has a shorter side wall. Is there any issue with this set up with the weight of a Bagger ? How do you like the set up on your bike after you made the Wheel and Tire change?

Thanks

21 on the rear? i think you have it backwards. most i have spoken to have seen harsher rides with the 21 and 18 setup versus a 18/18 or 16/16 setup. plus if you go single disk up front you reduce braking power by 50% on a 800 lb bike

My 07 Streetglide has a 21 front and 18 rear. The 21 front is a 120 and the rear was a 140. Ive since went with a 150 rear and am havin problems rubbin. Ive also lowered the raer a half inch using Progressive shocks. 1 up is great. 2 up, I rub. Hope this helps. Ive heard stories of guys even rubbing on the front fender with a 120 front.....Ive never had an issue.

I'm running a 150/70/18 on the rear with no rubbing at all. I also run a arnott air ride system with 1" lowered from Top.

150 shouldn't give you problems, however it depends on what year. a 200 will go inbetween the fender struts but you need a fender that mounts outside. the belt and swingarm are both in need of consideration.
