I use one mounted permanently to a 6"X6" piece of Walnut. I only use it in the my garage. It brings the big up perfectly level for checking oil, but most importantly for sliding my floor jack under the bike to jack it up. I usually jack the bike up after a ride (couple of inches to wipe it down. I leave it up, and off the tires whenever I'm not riding. Especially all winter up off the ground. (Never have any flat spots from sitting) and it's always easy for me to check the air before every ride. ****, yes, but that's why my bike looks like it does going on 70,000 Miles.

+1

Only used in the garage to keep from scratching the floor up! Quit using it after installing a center stand a few months ago. Center stand is only used in the garage.

I wanted to but a real biker told me that I would be a poser if I did. So I just let my bike fall to the ground if it won't hold it up............NOT!

Of course, it's your God given right to do it!
Silly your ***. Nobody uses it "to keep scratches off the bottom of their jiffystand". That's just an asinine statement. No where does he say this. Not protecting your investment because you think it might not be socially acceptable, now that silly. Remember your statement the next time you come out and find your ride laying on the pavement.

Hey, I was too young to have a bike when I played hockey and now I have a Harley and am too old to play. oh, well
A 100 mph slapshot to the head will do some serious damage! And wouldn't even need a permit to carry it!

Hey BigSkyHD,
I was out for a country ride today and had this great idea. Install hydraulic lift in the garage floor. Make it so the top can rotate and have a remote control. Now just ride in, lift the bike, turn it around and you can just ride out. Lift it high enough and checking tire pressure would be so easy. I could even clean under the oil pan!

If you think this is funny I was going to install a turn table big enough to hold two bikes in our 4 stall garage. Then she says "Let's look for a new house."
