This weekend my 08 SG Harmon Kardon seems like it went into "protect" mode or something. It only goes to about 2/3 volume, I try and turn it up loader and it stays at that lower volume????

Is there a way to factory reset?

Did it get hot or somthing?

Any help would be great.

Where you playing the radio or CD's if you were using CD's or an MP3 player and changed it could be the recording.

 

It did it with different CD's and the radio...

 

take it back to the dealer. its a common problem with the h/k radios. if its under warrenty get another radio. unfortunately the refurbs arent much better than the new ones

 

I rebuilt this bike from the ground up after a wreck, so no warrenty...

 

if it does it when you are rolling check your alc control maybe set too high

 

reaper if you need a refurb try to get your dealer to send yours back. 275$ is the cost of a refurb radio. might try pulling battery cable to reset

 

I have it set at 3 is that to high? There is only 1 2 3 4 bars correct?

I am def in one ear and play my stereo load with JM speakers.

 

I have the main fuse pulled as we speak trying to reset it. If I spend any money on this it will be getting a new head unit and amp, not another crappy HK...
