I hope this is not a stupid question ,but I can use some input here if you dont mind,I have an 03 roadking and was wondering what I can use on the windshield to stop it from fogging up,the book says not to put anything on the windshield,to use soap and water to clean it,but mine seams to fog up in any damp or humid weather, any suggestions on what to use would be great. thanks, Doug
I've always used Harley Glaze but don't know if that keeps it from fogging or not. I've never had that problem. I do know the glaze makes the water shed right off.
here's something that's gonna sound really bizarre, but it's cheap and I believe it will solve your problem. First, wet the windshield, then apply shaving cream and use a soft cloth to rub it all over the windshield, in and out, both sides. Then rinse it off and use a soft dry cloth to dry the shield. Should take care of the fogging for awhile; you'll have to do it again once in awhile.
I use Novus #1 polish on my shield and it works really good.
Novus is safe for Harley plastic shields and puts quite a shine on it after cleaning.
I don't know if it would help with fogging , but maybe it does , as mine doesn't ever seem to fog using the Novus product. It works a little like RainX as it makes the shield more slippery also. The bugs come off easier when using it also.
Just don't try RainX on the stock Harley shields , it may discolor the shield.
