Lower Vents
I installed some of these vents yesterday. I ran this morning with them closed, (45 degrees)and all seemed as if they werent there. By this afternoon temp should hit mid 80's so I'll get to experience them open. As for the quality of the vents, they fit the contour of the lowers nicely. I purchased black finish, which seem to be painted over chrome. Plans are to later color match these to the bike, and they seem as if they should accept paint easily. Installation was straight forward with the provided templates. I did find that cutting the hole slightly larger allowed the vents to relax into the cut outs better. The only modification that I did was cut about a 1/8 off of the length of the tabs (each side) as so to allow the tabs to pop in easier for the holding of the vent in place. It seems there isnt enough relief between the end of the tab and the mounting surface of the vent. After this cut, they simply pop in. I purchased mine just as screws4156 off of ebay for a fraction of the cost of other vents available, so thats a major plus. Screws4156, thanks for the post, its what lead me to this product.

Warmer weather review: It definitely makes a difference to the riding comfort. The temp was at mid 80's and the isolated warm blanket of air that I normally experience seemed to be gone. All in all, Id do it again.
