Yeah you can tell by the frown it wasn't good. Went down to Delmarva for the day and decided to get a dyno run. Not impressed. But I wasn't expecting much.
Max HP: 64.64
Max TQ: 79.09
This is with Rinehart slip-ons, hi-flo and V&H Fuel Pak.
What are you running.................stage 1 88" motor? HP looks a little low, but torque is about right. Stock headpipes are probably holding back the HP a little bit. When I had my stage 1 88" dynoed, it came in at 72hp and 78 torque.....that was with PCIIIusb, Big Sucker, and Rinehart TD's.
Hey, if it makes you grin when you roll on the throttle on the highway what does it matter? Mine "sounds" like its making 100 hp and 100 tq in my head, and I'm not going to prove myself wrong!

Steve
I believe he is running a new 96 incher in a 08 SG..
The V&H fuelpak gives the tuner less in tuning capabilities, but even at that he didn't do too bad for you. Mine came in at 61 hp 71 tq bone stock, after the stage-1 it hit just over 71 hp and 83 tq. A lot depends on what the tuner has experience with.
Hey Monster,
Also keep in mind that all dynos are different, so it's hard to compare what your bike did to others. My '08 96in stock went 60.7 hp and 75.1 tq, changed my slip-ons only and re-dynoed on the same machine, it turned 63.2 and 78.3...which I can't compare to others but at least I know my slip-ons alone gave me a 5% boost in power! You want to find the baseline, and then measure the change in performance after pipes and a/c. I was finding people with stock 88's doing over 70 hp, which doesn't make sense if all things are constant (smaller motor with over 10% more power)?
If you have the stock parts, it might be worth putting them back on and running it stock to see what performance difference the mods made...just try to keep as many of the variables constant (gasoline, weather, dyno). Don't sweat comparing your numbers to others unless they were done on the same machine on the same day.
Monster, what fuel mileage are you getting? I ask because that's an indicator of how efficiently the engine is running.
Getting around average of 42 mpg mostly highway riding.
Gilby: In all honesty the dyno numbers don't mean alot to me. I guess I was just kind of shocked that they were so low and so close to around the average of a stock 96". Not really interested in taking the time to reinstall the stock bits and pay more money for another dyno run. I did this more so V&H could get me customized setting for my Fuel Pak Not to have something to brag about. Well that is if the numbers were real good.
Oh I understand...yeah, the only reason I did it was to measure the performance of the prototype pipes I'm testing so when they hit the market, there is data to prove their performance.
Actually, what my graphs told me about my bike is that my prototype pipes actually richened up the mixture over the stock lean condition and smooted out the power curve compared to stock, basically showing the bike likes these prototypes better than stock...and so do I!!!
