We have no bread, meat, food, gas, no stores with power to even supply these items even if we get shipments. I saw on the news 140 trucks loaded with generators that are suppose to supply the stores and gas stations with power to be able to receive shipments just sitting there far away. We don't need help a week from now, we need help now. If I was in charge of the Fema, having nearly a week to get the trucks ready to roll you can be sure I'd have them shaking some pork getting these supplies in the area just the minute the 100 mile an hour winds subsided. In the real world as you can see, these government agencies only want to support those who don't have a job and never had one, for three years after the disaster. We don't need these permanent welfare people being supported, we need the hard working Americans given a helping hand during times of need. Not freebies, just a hand in getting goods for us to buy.
Cruise, you should forward these problems to the national media. This is real news and everybody need to know what's going on. We went looking through all the news channels and all they want to talk about are the presidential candidates.
Hang in there man, they'll get there. Are you running off a generator?
Are there any stores in the area that have power?
Thanks so much everyone for your concern and prayers. We are surviving and making it. The only stores I can find have no power and most are closed. The one gas station I found had no power to pump gasand no lights but had the store part open selling what candy bars and supplies they had in their store. I know who I will be supporting in the future bless their hearts. I am fortunate to have a supply of canned goods and food I am sharing with neighbors the best I can. Making the most of it I have made many new friends in the area using the charcoal grill to cook what ever someone brings. I'm not complaining for myself, but I see many who have much less and it erks me that we can't have our tax money we payed for decades go to help us in times of need. In a week we will be ok. I never have ask one red cent from the government but I do wish they could help those in need like my neighbors who have small children.
PS: I am lucky enough to have a generator to run part time. The only problem is fuel. I have only three gallons left so I have to use it sparingly. I type this while I am charging phones and listening to the news. The other problem is that FEMA has taken control over most of the cell phone towers and I can't even use mine most of the time like I did earlier. I have limited phone use and now no data use. I hope they are putting it to good use
