Baffle wrap
I wrapped my Rinehart standard baffles with a few layers of fiberglass cloth I picked up at WalMart. It dropped the sound by a few db's just as I wanted but after about 1000 miles the wrap is all shredded. What's a good source for baffle wrap that will last?
Right there in your garage ceiling. Grab a hand full of the old pink stuff, minus the paper backing, wrap the baffles and secure with white fiberglass tape. Works good and lasts about the same as the rest of the crap you can buy on the market. I used to race hare scrambles on a YZ450F and went through packing almost monthly. A buddy told me about the pink, so I tried it and it worked fine. Sure it discolored but it didn't burn up of get spit out of the bike. I also found that securing the pink with a wrap of stainless steel wool helped. If you think I'm crazy, then "Silent Sport" packing is the best. You can probably buy a few sheets from Rocky Mountain ATV.
