Sent you a PM Boarguard. Ft Worth area here also. I was thinking about doing the extensions in black but not sure how that would look and also don't know how I would match the denim paint texture.
You could always do the extentions in Denim Black which would hide the line and blend with the bike very well IMO.
I think you'll find with any extensions, eventually they will show at the seam. A failsafe method would be to leave the seam as is. ( as the new SERG is). This is the main reason I went with the Bad Dad complete bags. A very high end constructed bag and fender.
Buck, Kenny and Mike...all three look great. I've been really only considering the 2" ones like Bucks, but the more I look at the 4"er's the more I like. I think I'm past considering the extensions also based on the comments regarding visibal seams or the eventual ones. That would drive me crazy. The only thing is the 2" extensions looked fine with the subtle cut away for the 2-1 Fatcat, but not sure how the full length bags with no cutaway on the left side would look. Comments or any pics of that? I'll check out Bad Dads gallery as well.
Sounds like a lot of money and work to gain 2 inches.
Why not go all the way with some 4 inchers.
Either way, its a lot to spend for very little return, makes a bike look nice,
but not much bang for the buck if you ask me.
I can think of a lot of other things to buy for 2 grand!
I would also worry about the 4 inchers dragging in the twisties.
Peace
