I like the look, but I worry about them dragging. I come from a crotch-rocket back ground (still have a suped-up busa) and it is very seldom that I go a day on the RK and not drag metal on the pavement in a turn. I know people said they don't drag under normal driving, I just like the hard/fast twisties too much, anyone have any drag damage from this (REAL hard riding) on their extensions, or is that something you need to give up for the sake of the look?
A friend of mine put the extended bags on his from http://www.topshopcarbon.com/product...ewCat&catId=42
the extra depth is nice vs the add-ons..they also will do the factory HD colors...as soon as i can scrap up the coin i belive i will get a set for mine.
I love the look almost to the point of the stock bags looking very plain to me at this point, but I still feel like the whole project, (and it's becoming clearer to me that replacing the whole bag is the way to go), is so much more expensive than I had intended. Anyway you slice it, seems around $2K after paint, but I suppose thats the price of admission for the look. It's just seems like a lot after spending only $500 for a set of painted lower fairings, etc.
