Default Harley Intercom Cord

I am kind of tall and then I ride my 08 Ultra with the intermcom/radio cord attached to my helmet, it is kind of short and tends to pull off while riding. Do they offer a longer cord?

Mine kept disconnecting so I used two wire ties looped through each other, one around the plug and the other around the housing. It hasn't come loose in 5 years of use.

I agree on the J&M headsets. The elite sets are great and the cord is longer. The J&M antennas work well also.

Do the J & Ms plug right in? If so, why would I buy a Harley one at twice the price for my second set?

Yes you can get a longer cord from an aftermarket company that works well with the HD headset. I have it saved as a link on my home computer. When I get home for lunch I will post it.

If you go with J&M and have a newer HD be sure to get the HO microphone. My wife and I have them in Nolan helmets and have been very happy with them.
