Dawg,
wondering if Harley makes a repair kit for the tension spring that holds the rider backrest in the bracket itself for the cable op model.
My dumba** must have sprung it when I put the seat back on
at one
time.
TIA
Hinzy
Nope, no spring. Gotta buy the gas spring and release pn#52481-01 for $99.95. I'd take the spring out and bring to a place that sells springs and see if you can match it.
Thanks gents,
although i think I may have confused you with what I'm looking for.
It is the flat steel spring with the two numbs that hold the backrest
itself in the bracket.
Thanks again
Ahhh, OK then you would need #53047-01 for $51.95. That is the bracket weldment which includes what you need. The instruction sheet says it's a FL Rider Adjustable Backrest Repair Kit.
